Exposure: Direct ingestion, relay toxicity from eating poisoned prey.
Clinical Changes
Anticoagulants: Bleeding, hematomas, hematuria.
Bromethalin: CNS signs, convulsions, paralysis.
Cholecalciferol: Hypercalcemia, kidney failure.
Phosphides: Gastrointestinal distress, respiratory issues.
Diagnosis
Identification: Accurate identification of ingested rodenticide.
Tests: Blood clotting tests, serum calcium levels, radiographs.
Treatment
Decontamination: Emesis, activated charcoal.
Antidotes: Vitamin K1 for anticoagulants, supportive care for other types.
Supportive Care: IV fluids, monitoring and treating specific symptoms.
